Start: 9 a.m. at Mt. Bachelor Nordic Parking.
Elevation Gain / (Loss): -230’, +580’
Carpool: Meet at Mt. Bachelor bus parking at 8:30 a.m. or Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center parking at 9:00 a.m.
Outing Description: Ski on the Dutchman Flat Nordic trails to Todd Lake, then across or along the lake to the north end. We’ll skin up the ridge to the north side of the lake and play. There are some great open tree runs on the north and west sides of the lake. XC skiers can also make their way up to the top of the ridge for great views of the Three Sisters. One way distance is 3.1 miles with some elevation loss on the way in and then a climb to the ridge.
Equipment & Clothing Needs: Normal winter day outing clothing, food and liquids, 10 essentials, backcountry skis and skins, split snowboards and skins, beacons, probes and shovels, Nordic skis.
Skills, Experience & Fitness Level Needed: Skiing is intermediate. Need to be reasonably fit.
Maximum Number of Participants & RSVP Requirements: Limit of 8 Participants.
